Important notice from the FPC (Firearms Policy Coalition):
Assembly Bill 1674, authored by California Assemblyman Miguel Santiago (D – Los Angeles), would make it a crime to attempt to purchase more than one firearm of any type in any 30-day period.
Additionally, it would delete the private party transaction exemption to the 30-day prohibition, making it illegal to purchase more than 12 total firearms in a year.
[Another consequence or this bill is if you are falsely charged with a crime that requires you to get rid of your firearms, you could transfer the ownership of just one firearm and the rest would have to be turned over to the police and be destroyed. You would forever lose them – Comment by Fred]
AB 1674 is supported by well-funded gun control groups like the Brady Campaign and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
“Extremist California Democrats will not be satisfied until every law-abiding gun owner is either in jail or disarmed,” said Brandon Combs, president of Firearms Policy Coalition.
“Firearms Policy Coalition is committed to fighting this and other outrageous bills and defending the civil rights of law-abiding people from their statist big government agenda,” concluded Combs.
