Santa Clara County Community Summit on Firearms & Safety – Agenda

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Here is what Mario Lopez sends out when you register for this summit. As you can see, the summit is geared to leading participants toward more gun control.

Roundtable facilitators will go through the dialogue agreements. If participants are unable to meet the agreements at any time during the summit, they may be asked to leave the summit.

I am wondering how many pro-firearm participants will be asked to leave. Note that sheriffs will be there to remove undesirables:

The Sheriff’s Office will be providing security at the event to ensure the safety and security of every participant.

Hello,

Thank you for expressing interest in participating in our Community Summit on Firearms and Safety this Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 8:30pm to 4pm. Further details about the summit are below.

Agenda

Attached is the agenda for the day. It is inside the participant workbook. Please review it in advance to know what to expect at the summit.

Participant Workbook

Attached is a participant workbook that you will be using at the roundtable discussions with the facilitators who will be facilitating the dialogues. We will have printed workbooks for everyone so no need to print one in advance.

Code of Conduct and Dialogue Agreements

Please remember the code of conduct statements each of you agreed to as part of registering for the summit. We will ask those that did not register online to fill out an affidavit agreeing to the code of conduct statements asked online prior to entering and participating at the summit. This is to ensure that we have respectful and meaningful dialogue as a community. Roundtable facilitators will go through the dialogue agreements. If participants are unable to meet the agreements at any time during the summit, they may be asked to leave the summit.

Additional Guests

If you are accompanied with additional guest(s), please make sure that they are registered online or they will sign in person the code of conduct affidavit before entering and participating at the summit. Please also note that you may be seated separately from the people you are attending the summit. This is to ensure that there is no group think at the roundtable dialogues.

Security

The Sheriff’s Office will be providing security at the event to ensure the safety and security of every participant.

Food and Drinks

Continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided for everyone for free.

Map and Parking Information

Attached is a site map of the Fairgrounds. We will be at the Fiesta Hall. Participants can park for FREE in Parking Lot A right across the main entrance to the fairgrounds. For those with ADA needs, parking will be available right in front of the Administration building on the Fairgrounds side.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email here.
