Four armed robbers, who were possible suspects in an earlier armed robbery of a gas station, decided to increase their wealth by entering EJ’s Place in Houston, TX. They were stopped by a patron who often stays late to safely accompany female bartenders to their cars.
When the robbers demanded money, an unidentified patron presented his firearm and a firefight broke out. Two of the robbers were killed and the remaining ones ran away. Neither the employees nor their protector were hurt and the police are looking for the two that escaped.
The police are also looking for the armed patron who saved the day. Despite the respect of the Second Amendment in Texas, it is a felony to carry a firearm in a bar. Sgt. Robert Spurgeon, a Harris County Sheriff said:
“We’re still trying to determine who he is, and why he left the scene.”
I believe everyone can answer the question of why the armed patron left PJ’s Place. Despite the trouble he may be in, a good guy with a gun saved the day.
