We Are No Longer Safe In Our House

We have just observed the most important event in the history of the Second Amendment.  Yes, this eclipses even the recent Heller decision.  We have a President in office that is the most rabid anti-gun person in congress.

He will also be replacing at least two, and possibly three, Supreme Court Justices with judges so far to the left that it will make Ruth Bader Ginsburg look like a good ol’ boy with a gun rack filled with rifles in the back of her pickup.

The Heller decision was decided with a 5 to 4 decision.  It will only take for one of the five judges who voted for Heller to get sick or retire and the Heller decision may be vacated.

There are hundreds of vacant lower court judge positions that were not filled by the Bush administration because the Democratic controlled Senate refused to approve filling them.  You can bet that all of Obama’s judges will pass through quickly without so much as a medium-hard question being asked.  These courts are the training school for future Supreme Court Judges.

This alone will be able to affect Second Amendment decisions for the next forty to fifty years.  Our children and their children may not be able to experience the rights that we have become accustomed to.  Two or more generations of American citizens may be stripped of their rights.

The current administration through John Bolton has protected us from the long arms of the United Nations that have been trying to regulate our Second Amendment out of existence.  The next United Nations Ambassador will not fight the UN and will bring home their regulations and destroy our Civil Rights.

How did this happen?

I believe that most pro-Second Amendment Americans have become complacent, fueled by our successes in the past.  Many stayed home or voted for one of the lesser candidates.  It is noble to stand tall and vote your beliefs.  However, there comes a time when you need to act strongly to protect your family and future generations to come.

This was one of those times.

If we just counted hunters alone, there would have been more than triple the number of votes needed to put a President in the Whitehouse that would protect our civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.

Maybe we have ourselves to blame.

We could have pushed harder to persuade the complacent to vote.  We could have spent more hours volunteering at gun shows and getting people to register to vote.  We could have invested out time working with gun-friendly politicians, both Republican and Democrat, walking precincts and manning phone banks for them.

If you had a cell phone plan with free long distance, you should have volunteered in calling voters in the swing states like Ohio.

Would you have invited a murderer into your home?  Would you have let them kill your family without attempting to defend them?  I would venture to say that no one would answer “yes” to any of those questions.

Yet, we as a country have done exactly that very thing.  We have invited a person into Our House that will kill our Civil Right to Bear Arms.  This, in turn can possibly kill us and our children and our children’s children.  We will be disarmed and America will be turned into a target-rich environment for murderers and rapists.

Even worse, we will not be able to defend ourselves from a tyrannical government.  Remember that Marxist politicians need to disarm the citizenry before they take over.

We need to get off our butts and get organized better than the opposition did and fight to get rid of all the politicians that helped get us into this mess and replace them with people who will care enough to eat, sleep and drink freedom twenty-four hours a day.
