With all of the anti-gun people that President Obama has added to his cabinet and the people he asks for advice, we really need some people on the deep inside of congress to let us know what is brewing in legislation. We need someone who can tip us off and try to stand up for us to protect our Second Amendment Rights.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! Of all the places imaginable, I would have never seen this coming. In fact, I would have been spread all over the Highway 95 for 10 miles if this truck had hit me. I know, some of you would ask, “Fred, what the heck are you talking about?”
I’m talking about, of all things, a government task force.
“Ok, Freddie, you have just lost the last of your marbles. You know there is no such thing as a government task force that can actually work for the citizens of these United States.”
Oh, I assure you there is.
“Not a chance. You should take some Xanax or Valium or both with a good glass of Concealed-Carry Cabernet to calm you down and let the doctors lead you back to that padded room.”
I’ll drink the wine after I finish shooting. I have to get back to this blog.
United States Representive Dan Boren (I will not hold the “(D)” after his name against him) is heading up a task force for gun rights! Now, before you get all bent out of shape about a Democrat in Washington D.C. running a task force on gin, er gun rights (I must have been thinking of Ted Kennedy), let me tell you a few things about this and that.
- Mr. Boren is from Oklahoma, and when I was out there in the 1970’s ‘dem Oklahoma boys liked their guns. I doubt that has changed.
- The task force is being co-chaired by a Republican (not RINO) named Paul Broun of Georgia.
- Dan Boren is co-chair of the Congressional Sportsman Caucus.
- Oh, did I mention that Dan is on the National Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association?
Now that that is settled, you may be wondering if the rest of the task force members are Marxist Gun Banners just like Obama and Clinton (both).
“Yes, tell us.”
I am proud to report that the rest of the task force members have been vetted individually more than Obama’s entire cabinet. Their entire voting records have been scrutinized for belief in the Second Amendment. No “Present” votes allowed here! Oh, by the way, the NRA and the Gun Owners of America both provided input on the vetting and approval process.
May the Task Force be with us.
