Kell Wolf was a Volunteer Hunter Safety instructor for at least 15 years in Oklahoma. Like most hunters and Second Amendment advocates I know (Yes, I know the Second Amendment is not about hunting) Mr. Wolf has rather strong feelings against those who would advocate taking away any of our God-given rights.
Since Kell has been teaching for 15 years, he has already seen what Clinton (Bill, not Hill) did to our Second Amendment rights. Even with all the encroachment to our rights Clinton did, Kell did not act in the manner he recently did. I believe Barack H. Obama (a representative from the dark side of the gun-banners) becoming President was the breaking point for Mr. Wolf.
He posed a question to the class when they had started. Normally, a question in the beginning of class is usually “Did everyone read the instruction book?” This gives the instructor(s) a view of potential problem students who might need a bit more attention and encouragement in order to pass the course. Unfortunately for Kell, his first question was “Who voted for Obama?” Daniel Reddy raised his hand. Daniel was there with Lane Dunkley, his grandson. As a reward for getting good grades, Daniel promised to take his grandson hunting, thereby spreading the hunting culture on to our younger generation.
Unfortunately Kell, the instructor, went into a rant. The Tulsa World reported:
According to Reddy and others in the room, Wolf called Obama “the next thing to the Antichrist” and ordered Reddy and Dunkley from the room. When Reddy refused, Wolf said he would not teach “liberals” and would cancel the course if Reddy didn’t leave. So Reddy and Dunkley left, as did a few others.
Now I can sympathize with Kell. I might have referred to Obama in similar terms when it comes to the second amendment and the Right to Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness myself, although Antichrist is not the work I used; I do not subscribe to the idea that Obama has any supernatural and definitely not Christ-like powers, only Marxist ones. You can peruse the GS2AC and Liberal Fair blogs I write for and read that for yourself in the archives.
However, there is no room for politics in the classroom of Hunter Safety. I know. I am a certified California Hunter Safety Instructor. I volunteer to teach. The students that come to my course are there to learn about Safety. In fact, what I and the other instructors in my team are entrusted with is the very lives of our students. Our only concern in these classes is to give everyone a solid foundation to enable them to go hunting ethically, kill only the game and arrive home safely at the end of the day or trip.
If students bring up political questions, we do not address them in class. After class is another matter.
Mr. Wolf, I am sorry you will not be able to enjoy teaching hunter safety anymore. It is truly enjoyable.
