Our Nov. 13 meeting marked the end of another year under the belt for the GS2AC. Since our first official meeting as the GS2AC in January of 2004 to the present we continue as the fixture for Second Amendment issues in Santa Clara County.
And our end of 2014 meeting continued our tradition of excellence. 91 members and guests attended the meeting, including 5 people who had never been with us before. As always, Harry’s Hofbrau did a great job of providing great food for those interested in dinner. We had top notch wines and beers at our bar served up by the best bartender in the world, Kelsy.
Our featured guest speaker was none other than Guy Smith. That’s right THE Guy Smith. The founder of the Gun Facts Project. The man who publishes Gun Facts… arguably the best text on Second Amendment rights in the US. The guy with more than 15 years of fighting the fight for truth about the Second Amendment and our Constitutional rights. And his presentation about the lies and distortions being pushed by the likes of President Obama, Michael Bloomberg and the rest of the Communists in the anti-gun community was powerful.
After that we got down to the business of prizes. A ton of great prizes like a C Crane Solar Radio, a Damascus steel knife, a HUGE basket of wine and custom chocolates.. and so much more.
But the big winners were the folks who threw their hat in the ring to win some guns.
Our second prize gun was the legendary Henry lever action rifle in 22 LC. The winning ticket number was 694265 and the holder of that ticket was long time member and contributor Lester J. who came all the way down from Livermore to attend the meeting.
But the big prize was the beautiful Uberti replica Colt 1873 revolver in 45 Long Colt. It could only be described as a piece of artwork. And for anyone who had the chance to feel the smooth action you knew right away this was a gun to have.
The winning ticket number for that pistol was 694238. And the holder of that lucky ticket was a man who has been a member for many years Jess G. of Los Gatos. What a great Christmas gift !
Congratulations to everyone !
We will see you in January !
