Baltimore Homicide Record Broken Despite Strict Gun Control Laws

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Back in 1993 the City of Baltimore, Maryland set a record homicide rate of 48.77 murders per 100,000 in population. Since then both State and city gun control measures were put into place in a well-meaning but futile attempt to bring down the murder rate.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, that record set in 1993 was broken and this year is not even over! The new record is now 48.97 homicides per 100,000 in population. That is 305 homicides so far this year!

Compared to New York City, Baltimore is a war zone. NYC expects to have a rate of 4 homicides per 100,000 population.

This just shows you that criminals do not pay attention to gun control laws.
